Welcome to Hostel & Minimarket Acemar, we are a modern and comfortable hostel located in the heart of the Old Town of San Pedro Alcantara, next to the emblematic Church Square. A quiet and Mediterranean town full of fun, which has grown and advanced over the years offering to all who visit it infinite possibilities; beaches, golf, shops, restaurants, shopping centers and events throughout the year.
Its location is ideal as it is less than 800m from the beach and the promenade, an ideal place to enjoy pleasant and relaxing walks. In addition, only 5km away is Puerto Banus and 10km away is the Historic Centre of Marbella. All this is complemented by our microclimate which makes it a privileged place to visit all year round.

Cancellation Policy

Location and Nearby Attractions
Thanks to our magnificent location you can enjoy all the comforts and attractions that the city offers us such as shops, restaurants, promenades and beaches that our town has. In addition you can practice different sports activities as well as make interesting excursions where you will discover unique corners and places of the area, like the famous Puerto Banus, Marbella, Ronda, Gibraltar, Mijas, Malaga and all of them at very few kilometers, being able to visit them in the same day.
Restaurants
The city of Marbella has a wide gastronomic offer that has added to the local tourist attraction in recent years. A few meters from the hostel is the Avenida Marqués del Duero, the main artery of San Pedro Alcántara, a pedestrian street full of bars and restaurants from the famous Plaza de la Iglesia to the new Boulevard and continues along the Avenida del Mediterráneo to the Paseo Marítimo with more gastronomic offer. You can also move around the area, Guadalmina, Nueva Andalucía, Puerto Banús, Marbella and discover the best restaurants in the area, some with Michelin stars.
Interesting Places & Sight Seeing
Discover the history of Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara, castles, monuments, important museums up to a Paleochristian Basilica on the beach of San Pedro Alcántara considered an important site of historical remains, being one of the most important examples in Spain of the Paleochristian period (4th century). Very close by are the Bóvedas or Roman Baths from the 3rd century and in Marbella we can find the Roman Villa of Rio Verde which dates from the 1st to the 2nd century AD.

Marbella has large shopping centres with an endless number of shops of different brands and companies from all sectors, La Cañada Shopping, El Corte Inglés and Marina Banús the most outstanding. In addition, the city has one of the most luxurious streets in Spain, Muelle de Ribera in Puerto Banus, where the boutiques of the big luxury firms are located. Dior, Saint Laurent, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Tom Ford, Bvlgari, Valentino, Loewe are some of the more than 100 fashion boutiques in Puerto Banús, and not only fashion, sectors such as the nautical or the automobile industry choose Marbella to present their models every season.

Very close to the hostel you will find bars and terraces where you can enjoy cocktails and drinks outdoors. Just 5 minutes away by car is Puerto Banus and Nueva Andalucia known for its great nightlife and beach clubs. Marbella’s Golden Mile, where you can find the most exclusive clubs in the city, is only 10 minutes away from our hostel and the centre and Marina of Marbella which also offers numerous terraces and discos is no more than 15 minutes away by car.

Marbella and San Pedro Alcantara fight against seasonality with various events throughout the year, sports, business, fairs and exhibitions, congresses and conventions, concerts and festivals, shows, etc. Reaching the highest concentration of them in the summer months, Starlite Festival, World Padel Tour, Ironman, Marbella 4 Days Walking and many others choose the city to celebrate their editions year after year.
Tours & Day Trips
Visit the Historic Centre of Marbella or the famous Puerto Banus without leaving the city or Malaga, Ronda, Mijas, Gibraltar are the different options that can be visited in the same day, as they are less than 1 hour from our hostel. Other Andalusian cities like Granada, Seville, Cordoba with a relevant historical past are only 2 hours by car from our hostel in San Pedro Alcantara.

Adventure: Hiking & Routes
The new Senda Litoral runs along the entire coast and the city’s promenades, crossing Puerto Banús in its wake. Perfectly conditioned with albero paths, wooden walkways and hanging bridges, it is a flat and simple route with a total of about 10km, just over 1 hour by bike and 3 hours on foot from the San Pedro Alcantara promenade to Marbella.
For the more adventurous, hiking, horse riding, buggy riding or cycling, the city offers different routes through the places around us such as the Natural Park of Sierra de las Nieves, catalogued as a Biosphere Reserve and candidate to be declared a Natural Park of Spain. The park is comprised of the Malaga municipalities of Alozaina, Casarabonela, El Burgo, Guaro, Istán, Monda, Ojén, Ronda, Tolox, Parauta and Yunquera. Being easily accessible from our neighbouring village Ojén, starting from El Refugio de Juanar you can make the route to Pico La Concha obtaining impressive views of the whole Costa del Sol once you have reached the top.
